RPost's Registered Email Receipts Provide Court Record of Delivery and What Was in the Envelope - Prevailing Where Certified Mail Receipts Fall Short
LOS ANGELES, CA, August 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- RPost, the inventor of Registered Email services, today released a video case study describing how nine-year RPost customer, Engel & Siegel, LLC, a premier Chicago-based law firm, has used RPost Registered Email receipts in court. RPost services provided Engel & Siegel litigators with evidence that contributed to a winning advantage in court proceedings.
Engel & Siegel, LLC reports that they began using RPost's Registered Email services after an experience where they had sent a letter by US Postal Service certified mail service with return receipt green card. While the postal service certified mail green card was sufficient to prove receipt of the letter envelope, the green card record of delivery was discarded as evidence of receipt of the enclosed letter after the recipient claimed the certified mail envelope was empty. With certified mail, there was no way to prove that there was an enclosed letter, and thus, no way to prove the content received.
Since that time, states Donald Engel, managing partner of Engel & Siegel, their attorneys have been sending important correspondence and legal notices as Registered Email messages using the RPost services, providing them with court-admissible proof of message delivery, content of each attached PDF letter, and uniform time of receipt.
With RPost, reports Engel,"we now have no problems proving what was sent, delivered, opened, and attached. We have used the RPost Registered Receipt email record successfully in court, presenting the RPost record with the RPost provided court-admissibility white paper. We have used the white paper and the RPost record in court on two occasions with a great deal of success -Â with RPost, the judge ruled in our favor. The Registered Email record and the RPost white paper have been accepted in both state and federal court in the United States."
RPost's Registered Email service has become the global standard for proof of email correspondence, for those who send email messages of consequence. "When it counts, businesses rely on RPost services," states Zafar Khan, CEO of RPost. "With RPost patented technology, our clients have a record of who said what to whom and when by email -Â a record that has the highest evidential weight and gives them the courtroom advantage."
RPost provides additional options built in for high value messages, such as email encryption, contract e-signatures, matter management, and meta-data cleansing, among others. RPost's secure messaging platform is the insurance industry's top pick in the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers Buyers' Guide for Email Encryption and the recipient of the World Mail Award for Best in Security.
The RPost service does not require any new servers and can be enabled in one minute for any user.
